Star Force by Aer-ki Jyr. A Short Review.
As a lover of science fiction, I frequently find myself looking for something new. Some area or concept that hasn’t been explored before. In esoteric texts, in an episode of Ancient Aliens, from records of Atlantis, I quickly came up with a story concept of finding a lost pyramid in the Antarctic and how it helped the secret Australian UFO monitoring service contact an ancient race of aliens.
Before I even had a chance to start writing that story, I stumbled upon Aer-ki Jyr’s Star Force series.
I had no idea that there was an indie author out there so prolific. He writes and releases a new episode every two weeks, and is already up to episode 100. I haven’t had a chance to read them all to give a proper review (got to write my own!) but I’m impressed with this kind of output and dedication.
Reviews on Amazon are mostly positive. The small amount of negative reviews tend to be more about the immaturity, unbelievability, or slower pace of the storylines, (or lack of an editor) but if you like more family-oriented science fiction like Star Wars, Star Gate or Doctor Who, (barely any swearing, limited gore, a focus on younger people) then this series is more likely to be your cup of tea.
And, of course, the first Star Force adventure features the discovery of a lost pyramid in the Antarctic and how it warns humanity about a group of ancient aliens. Looks like I’ll have to rethink that storyline!
